Log Center lets you find error messages quickly. You can search for specific messages, or you can search by date, instance, or other attributes. There’s one Log Center application per point of delivery (POD) per cylinder. To find specific messages, you can combine filters, such as severity, time period, and issue type, and searching for issues that contain specific text. This topic applies to B2C Commerce.

For Secondary Instance Groups (SIGs), logs are available for 2 days. For Primary Instance Groups (PIGs), logs are available for 5 days. You can't change this setting.

Note: There’s a quota of 1,000,000 log messages that can be received per realm and instance group per day.
  • Start B2C Commerce Log Center
    Start Log Center by entering its URL in a browser. The Log Center URL contains the POD number and cylinder. Use 00 for a SIG and 01 for a PIG. For example, logcenter-<POD-No.><Cylinder>-hippo.demandware.net/logcenter.

    You can narrow your results by setting filters in B2C Commerce.

    You can save your searches and use them to set up recurring notifications in Log Center.
  • Keyword Search in B2C Commerce Log Center
    Keyword search enables you to find the logs that contain certain terms. When you enter text or an ID in the text message, the search looks several places. It looks in the text message, activity ID, category name, thread name, and message stack trace. When you click the Search icon, the results appear in a list. The severity panel to the left shows the number of issues per severity that contain the text or ID. If the severity is selected as a filter on the left side, the keyword/ID search is restricted to a particular severity. This topic applies to B2C Commerce
  • Change the B2C Commerce Log Center Display
    By default, when you conduct a search, Log Center shows the list of issues in a detailed view. You can also view the list in compact view.
