Page Meta Tag Rules

Page meta tags are used in HTML documents to provide structured data about a web page. Common tags are title, robots, description, and social tags such as open graph tags.

Meta tags don't appear on the page itself, but in the page code, describing page content. You can set page meta tag rules for categories. The page meta tag rule lookup follows an inheritance scheme, which helps minimize rule configurations. Rules on your root category are visible within all child categories and assigned products. Rules are inherited within the current locale context first, before the locale fallback, as defined in language settings.
