Managing Orders
While you use a separate system to process orders, you can also use Business Manager for initial order creation and to manage order-related processes such as:
- Find an Order
After an order is created in the storefront, you can view order details in Business Manager. You can search using simple or advanced search parameters, or search by multiple order numbers. Salesforce B2C Commerce performs full text case-insensitive search. - Update Orders
You can update an order after it's submitted. For example, you can correct customer information or change the status. If you use Salesforce Order Management (SOM), then after an order is sent to Order Management, manage it there. - Cancel Orders
You can cancel an order that is in New, Open, or Completed Status. You can't cancel a failed order. To cancel an order associated with active post-processing objects, such as shipping orders, returns, or appeasements, you must cancel them. If you use Commerce Cloud Order Management, then after an order is sent to Order Management, manage it there. - Resubmit Orders to Order Management
If B2C Commerce failed to submit an order to Order Management, or a submitted order is missing information, you can manually resubmit it. You can only resubmit orders that are in Sending or Accepted status and have not yet been allocated. - Delay Orders
When you edit the order, you can delay the order before it can be exported. - Track Changes: Shipping Orders, Invoices, or Returns
After you integrate automated order routing and payment processing capabilities into Salesforce B2C Commerce, you can track changes by these jobs on shipping orders, invoices, or returns by individual order in the Business Manager Ordering module. On the Order details page, the Shipping Orders, Invoices, and Returns tabs appear only when an order contains a shipping order, invoice, or return, respectively. The information on these tabs is read-only. - Delete Orders
You can delete an order that is in Created, Canceled, Replaced, Failed, or Exported status and that has no associated replacement order. Deleting an order doesn't delete the data stored in Commerce Cloud Order Management or in any external order management system.
