Active data accumulated on production can be imported into other instances by uploading
it in the production instance and then importing it into another instance.
To import a feed, you must have first created a feed definition and a feed file.
Important: You can't import files created through active data export. The active data
export files contain more data than can be imported through feeds.
-
Select
site > Merchant Tools > Online Marketing
> Active Data > Import & Export.
-
On the Import & Export page, click Upload.
You can't import a file into the Salesforce B2C Commerce database without first
uploading it.
-
Locate the file using the Browse button and then click Upload.
-
On the Manage Import Files page, click << Back.
-
On the Active Data Import & Export page, click Import.
-
On the Active Data Import - Select File page, select the file you want to import and
click Next.
-
On the Active Data Import - Validate File page, if the validation finishes
successfully, the Import File Content section appears beneath the Validation Status
section.
Periodically click refresh
to see if the validation has finished. Click the link on the page, not the
refresh function of your browser.
If you have errors or your file doesn't validate correctly, the page shows logging
information to help you fix your file. If you need additional information, click
the Administration > Site Development > Development Setup >
Log Files link to view the log files.
-
Click Import.
When your file has imported, the Import page opens with the results of the
import listed.
Sometimes your file can import with data errors, as indicated
in the Status column of the dialog. To view these errors, click the file name link.
To confirm that your data has imported successfully, check your active
data attributes.
