Gross Merchandise Value
The Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) report provides GMV metrics of all transactions for goods and services in a calendar month.
- GMV
GMV is reportable in US dollars and is defined as the total dollar value of all transactions for goods and services in a calendar month generated through Salesforce B2C Commerce, after application of all applicable shopping cart discounts and promotions identified by the customer as part of the transaction. GMV includes all transactions regardless of order and shipping status. Shipping and handling charges and taxes, when identified by the customer as part of the transaction within the B2C Commerce, are excluded from GMV. - Taxation (Net and Gross) Impact on Subscription Fees
To ensure the proper calculation of GMV and resulting subscription fees, it's critical that all orders have proper tax handling. - Understanding VAT Implications
The value added tax (VAT) is a form of indirect sales tax paid on products and services at each stage of production or distribution, based on the value added at that stage and included in the cost to the ultimate customer. At each stage, the tax is assessed as a percentage on the amount by which goods have been increased in value from the raw materials or semi-manufactured stage. - GMV Calculation
You can create a gross merchandise value GMV report in Business Manager for your storefront. There are four types of report: GMV Report Per Day, GMV Report Per Order, GMV Report Per Month and Order Journal. - Order Origination Attributes
As part of your omni-channel strategy, you might need a detailed breakdown of how your orders originate in GMV reports.
