Administering Your Organization
As an administrator, you control users and permissions. You are responsible for import and export, third party integration, batch processing and data replication. Use the Control Center to manage instances. You can also manage client certificates within your environment.
- Access WebDAV Files
Use the folder browser in Business Manager to easily view and download WebDAV files. You can also use a third-party WebDAV client to view, download, upload, and delete WebDAV files. - Change the User Interface Locale for Business Manager
The Business Manager user interface supports multiple languages. - Permissions, Users, and Roles
To facilitate efficiency of operation and security when using Salesforce B2C Commerce, assign and restrict access based on your defined roles. Only a user with the administrator role can control users and permissions. - Business Manager Email Configurator
Use the optional email settings to define your own SMTP server for customer and platform email delivery. - JavaScript and Objects in HTML Attributes
For security reasons, only Business Manager users with strong authentication, such as through multifactor authentication with Account Manager, can include JavaScript and objects embedded withiframe
,object
,applet
, orembed
tags in the HTML attributes of a database object. - Global Preferences
You can configure global preferences for the entire organization, and sometimes, override those preferences at the site level. Global preferences include setting the time zone, locale, and sequence numbers for a site. - Site Preferences
Use site preferences to control the behavior of individual Salesforce B2C Commerce sites. You can configure various site preferences. - Managing Sites in Business Manager
In Business Manager, you can manage various aspects of sites, such as the storefront sites, the Business Manager site itself, and the global static cache. - Scheduling Instance Backups for a Staging Instance
You can schedule staging instance backups. - Jobs
Jobs automate routine tasks or long-running processes, such as importing and exporting data, replicating data or code, or building a search index. Jobs can use out-of-the-box system steps, or a developer can create custom job steps. You can run jobs manually as needed or schedule them to run at a specific time or on a recurring basis. - Replication
Replication securely copies selected storefront data or a code version from a staging instance to a development or production instance on your Primary Instance Group (PIG). Itβs a two-step procedure that first transfers the data or code version, then publishes the data or activates the code version.
