Manage Category Attributes

Category Attributes are applied to a category. When a category is designated as the primary category for a product, that product inherits the assigned category attributes.

  • Category Attributes
    You can modify the default category attributes, and create custom attributes that are appropriate for a category.
  • Set Category Attributes
    Category attributes are defined in the Category system object attributes definitions. You can set category attributes so they are appropriate for the products whose primary category assignment is the associated category.
  • Set a Category Alternative URL
    The Alternate URL category attribute is a 200 internal link that you use to redirect shoppers to categories throughout your site. You can merchandise a category one time, and use the category alternative URL attribute with other categories to redirect shoppers to the merchandised category from anywhere on your site.
