Globally Exclude a Product
Save time by globally excluding products from all promotions, instead of excluding them from every promotion individually.
When defining excluded product options, you must specify an option ID. You can define different product options with the same ID. For example, you can have several products that define a local product option called warranty, and a shared product option with the same ID. With this new feature, all options with the excluded ID are prevented from receiving discounts. If you don't want to exclude all options, you must assign a unique ID to each option.
To let a globally excluded product qualify for a specific promotion, you can disable globally excluded products for individual promotions. See Globally Excluded Products.
- Select site > Merchant Tools > Online Marketing > Promotions.
- Click More and select Product Exclusions or Product Option Exclusions.
-
For Production Exclusions:
- To add an excluded product, click Add Include and define the product. To further define the product, click Add and add more criteria.
- To create exceptions from the criteria set in the previous step, click Add Exclude and define the exceptions. For example, you include all luggage products in the previous step but then add an exclusion for tote bags. Now all luggage products except tote bags are globally excluded from promotions.
