Commerce Cloud CDP Connector

You can use the Commerce Connector to set up data ingestion from your B2C Commerce Cloud instance to Salesforce CDP. When you connect B2C Commerce Cloud to Salesforce CDP, you can segment cross-cloud data to create unified shopper profiles. In Business Manager, you can use the profiles to create customer groups to direct purposeful and intelligent commerce experiences to registered shoppers.

  • Enable Commerce Einstein
    To use the Commerce Cloud CDP Connector, you enable Commerce Einstein in your B2C instance and schedule your catalog feed.
  • Configuring the Commerce CDP Connector
    The Commerce CDP Connector connects your B2C Commerce instance to Salesforce CDP. After the connector is configured, you can create data streams through which you control the scope of B2C Commerce data ingestion to Salesforce CDP. Setting up the connector involves these high-level steps.
  • Creating a Unified Profile
    When you create a CDP segment, you identify attributes that segment customers by common interests, spending habits, search tendencies, and the like. For example, create a segment of all customers who spent $50 or more in the past 30 days and belong to a loyalty program.
  • Create Customer Groups with CDP Connector Segments
    Once daily, the unified profiles created by segment activation are moved from CDP to Commerce Cloud. Use the Customer Group feature to create customer groups from unified profiles.
