Search Results
Search Results are the items that will be returned when a customer searches within the storefront.
- Searchandising - Availability Ranking
Availability Ranking describes an approach of merchandising using the functionality and power of an online product search, expanding the online merchandising activities of merchants to one of the most important tools in an online shop today, the product search. You might want to use availability ranking to manipulate the search results of a customer query to reflect what you want to highlight. For example, you might want to promote in-stock products, and push products with low stock levels to the end of the search results. - Exclude Unavailable Products from Search Results
The Salesforce B2C Commerce Search module enables you to exclude unavailable products from search results in the storefront at the site level and at the product level. This is to avoid frustrating customers by showing them products they can't purchase. - Variation Product Display
You control how different variations of a product appear in the search results and category pages. You can show variations as separate products or as a single product, by creating variation groups or slicing. For example, if you want to show results for every color of a sweater, you can make color a slicing attribute. If you do not, then only one sweater appears in the search results and you must show the color options on the product details page. - Supported Data Types for Search and Sorting Rules
You can use product attributes for searching, giving you considerable flexibility in how products are identified. - Troubleshoot Search Results
When configuring search and navigation for your storefront, will often need to troubleshoot your search results. Consider things like queries, indexes, stemming, performance, availability ranking, and how your products are configured. - Use Search Analytics
You can use B2C Commerce Analytics for monitoring and analyzing search results as an important part of merchandising. You can identify when customers are getting no results for searches to uncover emerging market trends. You can identify successful searches and determine how many are converting to orders, to see whether you are stocking what customers want. You can also see whether key words associated with promotions or marketing are used, to determine the success of particular campaigns. - Search and Navigation Reporting
You can use search and navigation reports to identify, for example, top search terms, external search hits, and how search terms correspond to conversions.
