The tech world moves fast. Every day, there’s a new framework, a new technology, a new tool. And if you don’t keep up, you get left behind.
When I first entered Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C, I had no idea what I was doing. Everything felt overwhelming. I still remember that first month—struggling with things that seemed impossible, feeling completely lost. At one point, I even thought about quitting. Maybe this isn’t for me, I told myself.
But here’s the thing: I was aware of how little I knew. That curiosity, that realization that I had so much to learn, is what kept me going. Every new challenge made me want to dig deeper.

At first, I was just making small UI adjustments. Then I moved on to minor developments. One day, I had to deal with Search Refinements. What is this? I wondered. Then I figured it out. But later, I discovered buckets within Search Refinements. Wait, I thought I already knew how this worked! Turns out, I didn’t.
Then came web services and the services framework. Oh wow, there’s even more to this than I thought! And so it went—learning one thing, only to realize how much more there was to understand.
Eventually, I felt confident enough to take the B2C Developer certification. I passed. But did I really know everything? Not even close.
That’s when I started exploring Business Manager in depth. Suddenly, I saw things I had never touched before: SEO settings, URL redirects, sitemaps, jobs… There was so much I hadn’t done yet!
So I pushed myself further and aimed for the Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect certification. That’s when Salesforce really hit me with a reality check.
Boom.
Here’s a TSD. Here are quotas. Here’s everything you need to consider when designing a scalable, high-performance project. You think you know how to build on this platform? Well, let’s talk about performance limits, storage space, backup speeds, and system scalability.
It was another level of learning, another level of understanding. And I loved it.
The more I learned, the more I realized how much I didn’t know. Maybe you’ve only worked with SiteGenesis, but then you need to learn SFRA. Maybe you’ve got SFRA down, but now you need to understand PWA Kit and React. Then come API integrations—because no e-commerce platform works in isolation. You need to connect with ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, and more.
And then, something new started to gain traction: D2C (Direct to Consumer).
This is a game-changer for brands, and Salesforce now provides a D2C solution built directly into the platform. If you're working in e-commerce, this is something you need to know.
At some point, I started working on projects integrating Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud. But I was coming from a Commerce Cloud background—formerly Demandware, a completely different world from Salesforce’s CRM.
So, I learned.
I got the Salesforce Associate certification. Then I took an Admin course. And now? Salesforce Admin certification is next on my list.
Because learning never stops. And honestly? I enjoy it.
If you’re on this journey—whether you’re just getting started with B2C Commerce, preparing for your Developer certification, aiming to become an Architect, or diving into D2C—I've created courses to help you level up faster.
